Subject: Can Cryptocloud be used for gaming? Tue Aug 07, 2012 9:02 am
Am setting up my own home sever to run minecraft. I edited the settings.. Editing the port using my Cryptocloud one
But no one can connect? But they can connect when I use my normal ip (without vpn) So am just wording if it is something am doing wrong? Or if Cryptocloud dose not work like that?

I know someone who does some Minecraft stuff; I'll ask her what she does when running a server with same. There's nothing I can think of, at a macro level, that'd prevent such things from being done... but I don't have firsthand with this particular use case so I'll wait 'till I get that direct intel.

yes it can. iv been using it for games, if you don't mind a 30ms to 50ms gain that is. but since they just updated there servers, its been even lower then before so you should have no problem playing games on it. just note that ea blocks the vpn's ip though.

I'm in the US, and i typically get around 200-300ms delay on MMO's using the US servers. 2-3000ms using NL, for obvious reason ; )
I typically have to disconnect while playing - but it's really not that bad with it.
