| As we approach the end of summer we have embarked on a selection of upgrades and expansion to our service. I cannot give you a particular day any of these will be completed, but will tell you we are diligently trying to get these done as quickly as possible. These will be in more payment options, expanded server capacity in our current locations, more new server locations, a client upgrade for macs and possibly win7 among other upgrades. One thing to be assured of is that we will continue to guard your privacy and keep our core standards intact in the face of the changes throughout the world. I would like to take this time to thank you personally for your patronage of Cryptocloud. | |

| Glad to hear there's some good things afoot behind the scenes. It's about time a VPN company stepped up to the plate and took a real leadership position - not just technologically, but politically.
My $0.02 (CDN), in any case.

| We will be upgrading our systems for the next day and the website and openvpn system will be down. You may still use pptp while this is taking place. We apologize for this but the enhancements to performance and security will be worth it. Please follow twitter, our forum or blog for more details!

| We apologize for currently being down as we have posted elsewhere in the forum, on twitter and the blog as we are upgrading the system. PPTP is currently available and better than going naked! Please follow us for real time updates! | |

| If one of the servers are full, please try the UK or US East Coast. One of the things we are doing is setting up expanded services this month i.e. more country choices and in certain locations more capacity. | |

What, are you saying your OpenVPN service will be down for an entire month? Absolutely ridiculous.

| I'm geeting word from deep within the mothership that ETA is approx 24 hours from now, i.e. the full network should be available again by 8pm EST Monday.
Not official word, but as close as it gets at this point in time. When I hear more, I'll post it here.
Tally ho,

No, I'm sure that's not what he's saying. He's saying there will be expanded services within the month - not that the network will be down for a month. Which would be, as you say, absolutely ridiculous. On that we are in agreement. I'd like to know more about the improvements coming in the next month... and what sorts of good things have come out of this weekend's downtime. When I get the info, I'll share it forward. - Pt_Jd

Rumor from inside the mothership is that there's some substantive client improvements in the works... particularly for Mac/iGadget folks. And perhaps some newly-rolled *nix client installers. More news as I get it. Tally ho, - Pt_Jd

| Word is that OpenVPN-based connectivity is back up and running across the network as of approx 2pm EST. I'm testing right now from my machines to confirm, but that's what I've been told.
Can others confirm that things are back up and running?
Oh, and apparently there's ongoing tweaks to the PPTP-based Android/mobile version so that's not yet up. Folks will know by now that I'm not a big fan of PPTP-based VPN service... but given the paucity of genuine VPN tools for Android or iGadget-based devices at this point in time, I can understand why the company is offering one.
Tally ho,
